If everything runs out in the morning, why bother staying open til three and then give customers an attitude when they come in later in the day. Lady at the cash register was so passive aggressive towards us. I understand it's a bakery and they run out sometimes before the evening but the un-needed attitude we got for sure turned us off from this place. It's a shame bc my bf was really excited to come here, just for her to talk to him the way she did. Will not come back after that interaction and definitly will not recommend to friends and family. People can be so mean spirited these days.
When bake shop first opened it was great. The food was good, employees incredibly personal, with reasonable wait times. In the past 6 months, however, the wait has consistently gotten longer and employee turn over thats impacting the quality. It will be a 20 minute wait for 5 people in front of you. The cashiers wander around and stop and talk to other employees. There is no “move w urgency” and the woman im assuming is the owner/manager is part of this problem with the front of house. If you catch them when mo one is there, its great but if there are more than 3 people in line its not worth it because you will wait at least 15 mins.
Discover why W&M students queue out to the street for the Bake Shop: Delicious pastries, decadent coffees and the best bagels in Williamsburg. Take out only, but plenty of outdoor seating.
SO GOOD. It’s easy to see why they sell out so quickly! 100% worth waking up early to get there when they open. Everything is delicious. Staff is extremely nice personable, and love seeing repeat customers! Especially love their sticky buns, and the savory breakfast pastry!
