Went to captain catch and it was deserted no customers. I found out why very quickly they had the oysters in the back out of sight not in the display case. I asked for 12 oysters shucked. The kid said no we need a 24 hour notice?!? Oysters need to be eaten fresh and shucked fresh also there is not a soul here why can’t you put a glove on and shuck the oysters. Asked for the manager and the manager told the kid “it’s been our policy for a long time to give 24 hour notice for a dozen shucked oysters” this was given with attitude fresh food and customer service is not a priority here maybe captain needs to catch better workers and policy next time he’s out fishing or he might not be in business much longer. Look how busy it was in my picture. Ghost town!
Visited a week ago and got $135 for half bushel of crabs. Probably the most satisfied I've ever been based on size and meat but shortchanged on the amount I received. I was quoted 42-50 crabs and only received 35 (could've save $15 for that) so that was a little unnerving. Hope they count a little better next time!
Definitely have fat crabs I typically like to buy live crabs to cook myself cause I like to add my beer and spices to make them extra yummy and most of the times when you buy steam crabs they taste like they just dipped them in water and added seasoning on top but was calling around and no one had live crabs so I decided to go ahead and try some steam crabs from Captain Catch and let me tell you they can steam my crabs anytime they were so flavorful and meaty I had Number 1's and they were well worth it I even reheated some after 2 days and they were even better you won't be disappointed.
Captain catch seafood has great crabs and very pleasant employees. Especially the young men who are going to college thank you for your kindness
