Sam was so accommodating as we planned and had special requests, both for physical set up and with the menu. I always felt like she wanted to make our dinner special and unique, even if it took extra effort on her part. The food was amazing! The friendly wait staff worked hard and got it right! They juggled many details with a group of 32 and did an amazing job. If you just need a fun delicious lunch, Rumcow is excellent. If you need a restaurant for a special event with people who will support you to have a memorable gathering, serving delicious food that has a bit of a special flare without being too out there, book Rumcow! We tried and considered several downtown restaurants but I’m so glad we went with Rumcow!Dietary restrictions: We had 32 in our group and they made special modifications for 5 people, even making notes so there would be no cross contamination.
Was fortunate to get a table for two on a busy Saturday night with a great server Kiki. Drink menu is creative and extensive. Decor is chic and upscale with comfortable seating without feeling crowded. Everything on the menu sounded great. Started with the Asian tots which were great. Description said there was cilantro but none on ours missed it. Large portion which was good for sharing. Korean flank steak was cooked nicely served with mashed potatoes and mini Brussel sprouts. Sprouts could and should have been cooked more. Char crusted tuna salad was delicious. The blood orange vinaigrette complimented it perfectly! Rum cake was nice but vanilla ice cream was melted when brought to our table. A couple of missteps but still very good.
All I can say is this place is top shelf in my book! The food is unique and served fresh and hot... The atmosphere is just cool...The service was beyond great. Sam Hammer in my book) was doing a great job managing the place and on top of it all! It was one of the best birthday dinners ever If you haven 't been you 're missing out as it 's my new favorite place in Wilmington. It 's our new go to before we hit the comedy show.
AMAZING! Hands down one of THE best restaurant In Wilmington, NC. Cornbread slider is my favorite entree at the restaurant, I’m not a fan of Pimento cheese or fried green tomatoes but it blends so well on the corn bread. The tacos were great as well with the fried grits, love love love! Must visit.Food: 5/5
Rumcow is exactly the kind of farm fresh eating experience I crave. The ambiance reminds me of one of my family's long-time favorites, Basics. The grilled chicken salad, with strawberry vinaigrette, goat cheese, and shaved almonds is perfectly understated. Simple goodness. The space is airy, with lots of glass, rustic pine, painted brick gives Rumcow a modern antique feel.My family has vacationed in Wilmimgton for nearly two decades. We're 100% coming back to Rumcow.
