My partner have dined and enjoyed the entertainment here for 7 years, and have never had a problem with a waiter or the owner...we don't even know who the owner is. The piano bar is great fun and provides an inexpensive evening's entertainment. The bartenders could be friendlier which might earn them lager tips in my book, but they do their job, and they're busy...not an easy job. The waiters have always been unusually good and very cordial. What are these old queens complaining about; it's the only decent gay restaurant bar in town where one can dine without smoke and deafening music. We should all support it. Good deals on parking and dinners.
Kudos for our waiter Christopher who was Johnny on the spot replenishing coffee and water as needed, also for asking if there was anything more we needed each time we went to the breakfast buffet. A friend talked me into trying the sushi (of which there was a great variety) over my objections I found that it was indeed very good. We were informed by Christopher that there were free drinks today and left 4 tickets for our table. Great surprise! The buffet included many types of egg dishes, salads, sushi, bacon, ham sausage, cake (also a large variety) pie and just too many things to remember. We had a noisy group at the next table, but other then that we had a wonderful time spending three hours and no one rushing us out to turn tables. As far as the bartenders, I don't sit at the bar when we go out to eat; so won't judge those who complain about them. I can just say that for $35.00 plus tip; we had a wonderful time and am reconsidering my decision not to go back here for dinner. I don't find the decor tacky at all, but I think the place has rather a calming and restful decor. To each his own I guess. There is no accounting for some ones taste or lack there of.
Owner is rude and condescending to patrons as of Nov 13th. He could care less about what his customers want, then talks about them to other patrons after they leave. You can spend your money other places and be appreciated at least !
I would never go there again the waiterss are aragent and the bartendesas think there all that and treat us like sh-t. what is wrong with that. Is our money not as green as in Fort Lauderdale. I will not go there again.
