Shanghai Bistro Shàng Hǎi Xiǎo Guǎn

I had lunch here this past Wednesday. I got the Black Bean Shrimp combo. The shrimp was excellent and the chicken fried rice was delicious. The black bean sauce was quite light compared to the black syrup at most places and the rice was not the overcooked oily sludge like other restaurants. It was much lighter and very flavorful. The spring roll was forgettable and not sure why they use packets of duck sauce at a place that makes their own fish dumplings. The Hot and Sour soup was made to order and the best I have ever had in my entire life. I could not believe how delicious and perfectly balanced it was. Very nice people work there too.

Love the food and the fast service. The owner is always generous and hospitable. Really enjoy coming here and everytime I visit windsor I make sure to come by. The soup dumplings are yummy.

This place was recommended to me from a friend and seems to be a very popular place. Glad we came early because the place was packed. First time having soup dumplings and it won't be the last. Wow, the dumplings are so good. Next time I will have to order more because my daughter ate 4 out of the 6 soup dumplings but we had lots of other great things we tried. We will definitely be back! The steamed spicy beef dumplings were my favourite.

Excellent handmade various dumplings with a variety of fillings.. Every dish we had was amazing! A must visit!

Amazing authentic Chinese food and dim sum. Best place for dumplings in the city, soup dumplings are to die for!
