My first time, although a good friend dines here often and my wife has also been here several times. Service was good, once they realized we were seated (comped us the first round of drinks for having to wait). Tried basic salt and pepper wings, nothing wrong, but not quite as good as Earl's. Had their sirloin steak. I often don't order a sirloin because about half of them from any restaurant, Keg, Earls, here, anywhere, are not great cuts. This one was came out round. It was perfectly cooked, but about 1/3-1/2 was gristle. I would not order it again. My wife's meal was excellent and I would go back for sure, but I would try anything but the steak.
Made a reaction for a standard booth. Got seated at bar which was good. Nice atmosphere. Waitress was attentive and friendly. Dinner good. The only complaint was house flies and fruit flies. Lots of shooing! Annoying after awhile.
We were a party of four. One person’s meal wasn’t too good and she mentioned it to the server, who apologized and took 25% off the bill. My meal also wasn’t very good. The crispy fries and salad were nice, but the blackened chicken and ribs were both very dry and overdone. I didn’t say anything because our companion had already mentioned hers and got a discount, so I don’t want it to seem like we were just complainers. We had purchased a gift card for our companions’ wedding and it didn’t register as valid. The manager did deal with it and gave us the credit, so we didn’t have to go through the hassle of getting our credit card statement to verify the purchase. It worked out, however, it could have been very embarrassing if our companions had come by themselves and were told the card wasn’t valid. The server was very good and the meals were prompt. The manager seemed genuinely concerned about making sure things were right, but they have a bit of work to do on the food quality end. All staff were very friendly.
I brought a women’s group here for lunch that consisted of 14 people. We had the most amazing table in the far end of the restaurant portion of this establishment and it was very bright and private. The restaurant is very hip and modern. Everybody seemed to be very happy with their food and I was thrilled with my curry chickpea soup and garlic bread. Some of the ladies mentioned that the dishes were spicy, so maybe ask for less spice if you don’t enjoy that. I, personally, really enjoyed the spice in my soup. Sierra took care of us really well and the lunch was a great success!
