No one asked how our food was on us or was controlled. When we finished, no one approached us for the bill. we asked another server/manager for the bill and waited a few minutes before we approach the front and ask ANOTHER server for our bill. she went on the back and found our original server that finally cracked our bill. minutes after the completion of our meals. our servername was carlene. does not define the place to go during the busy hours, yet enjoy a place when they are a young person looking for somewhere they are not respected by the employees.
Has not been in perkins for years and will not go back soon. we were friends to breakfast, the restaurant was not overly busy, but it took mins. from the time the order went in until it was served. we asked our server why it took so long and everything we have was a bit about very busy and could not talk, our server was very unprofessional and grumpy. When eating finally arrived, it was best to lukewarm. the breakfast was not as I remember.
This place would get a terrible review if it wasn't for a few highlights. eating is the usual company building they would expect from this chain, but most other perkins restaurants in winnipeg at least try to prepare the food as...you could actually eat it. the good: burger nicely cooked and cooked with many delicious ingredients. the bad: omelets were allegedly made to order, but they looked like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for decades. tacky and tasteless. the ugly: fried food should not take it cordon bleu chef to take brot, like tweeper rings, out of a purse from the freezer and take it in hot oil for a prescribed time. All we got was soggy and boiled, with raw teig under the pale fried surface of the coating. the servier staff was beautiful, but the surly, roaming around, murmured to himself manager obviously hated the restaurant and all in it. we're sorry for his employees who tried so hard. the floor was dirty, the windows were heavy dirty and dirty, and I wish I had seen the washroom before we ordered everything. it has the washroom that I have seen from every neglected fuel station, all that was missing were the flying.
Together with enkel, who offered to treat how sweet! Sunday perfect time for brunch, I had the build a breakfast mommy and enkel had a tangler burger with fritten. burger was layered, patties, cheese, fresh plank, tweebel rings, mmmmm I would not have wished. gluten intolerant. he took half of it home, betya he goes back without me. friendly staff, our orders were pretty fast ready. we'll see each other soon.
Visited this Location on a Sunday afternoon with a group of seven around one in the afternoon. Ordered the eggs benedict with the expectation of the classic to be served. After waiting an hour in the half full restaurant my meal was served. I should...have taken a picture. It was an over cooked fried egg on a slice of processed ham on an muffin with a thin watery substance that was supposed to be hollandaise. I had to ask the waitress what had happened, and with a laugh , said that is how we make it now. With coffee and tax my bill was Needless to say, the one out of five rating is for honesty, that is how they make their eggs benedict and they stand behind it. Future breakfast destinations for my self and family will not include Perkins.
