Poke Star - Winston-Salem

The poke here is excellent. My friend and I both ordered the Hawaiian Bowl with white rice and found the tuna to be very fresh. I appreciate that they offer the option to substitute greens for rice as the base. In addition to poke, they also have chicken and shrimp choices for those who aren't interested in fish. The server was friendly and accommodating, and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely return in the future.

The food was delicious. It was a great experience being able to choose all the different components, and the prices were very reasonable. They also had a great selection of vegetarian options, including tasty vegetables and tofu.

Great poke! Their rice had a good texture and the marinated tuna was delicious. Lots of toppings and sauce options as well.

Really enjoyed the Build My Own Bowl. A great selection of fish, regular and spicy options and a ton of veggies and condiments to make any flavor profile you want. Reasonably priced and a nice staff.

You will be hard pressed to find better poke in the triad and maybe even extending to the triangle. I typically don't like most poke places because the fish is rarely fresh or high quality and the bowls are drenched in overly sweet sauces. I went for the House bowl and it was everything I could hope for. Sauce was slightly sweet with a much more dominant umami flavor. The fish was fresh as were the other ingredients. Furthermore, the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely come back here when I am in the area.
