There was no way to get my tuna and salmon off the stone so they ended up well done and dry. Further, since my wife nor anyone else in our group had silverware her steak medallions were well done by the time she got her silverware. On top of it the kids meals all had old cold fries! I informed the server and she didn’t care. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. Needless to say for the price point the service was horrible and it was dead in there. Great atmosphere and concept but failed on execution!
The food was okay, but not worth the price. The concept was fun to be able to cook your own protein to your liking. I enjoyed the sauces as well. The sides were nothing special and were all small portions. The mac and cheese was bland and was obviously not house-made. The tiki theme was geared more for families and not for fine dining, which the prices reflected. Our waitress was nice, but the wine glasses originally brought to our table were dirty and we had ask for clean glasses. That made us nervous about what else might not have been washed. There are so many other options in the area, we probably will not return.
The food was really good. Appetizers had good flavor, though they were small portions Steaks had good flavor and were well seasoned. If you do not like to wait for your food, don't come here. There were long waits for food and refills and you are required to cook your own entree. Seafood was also well seasoned. The tuna was fishy. Great atmosphere, but need to work on service.
Food was subpar. After being seated, the wait was actually a bit much which was confusing since we are cooking our own food. I thought they’d have someone with us to help us through it since we had never been, but the server just put food down and told us to flip our steaks every two mins. The steak was super tough. Considering the price, you’d think you’d get a more tender meat. It was cool to try out but I wouldn’t do this again. Spent $250 for 3 kids and 2 adults and no alcohol. Was really surprised that the kids meal only came with two shrimp and potato wedges. The portions for the kids meals were terrible.Kid-friendliness: The environment seemed nice for kids. Definitely would have preferred more interaction from the server with it being our first time and us having 3 kids.Parking: Parking in their parking lot was not unlike any other restaurant
New experience cooking my own steak at my table. Got the 10-oz ribeye with mashed potatoes broccoli. It comes with some tasty dipping sauces for different options. Service was pretty good the restaurant interior was cool looking with bamboo decor. Don't know if I would choose it again over another steak place, but it was a pretty cool experience overall.
