The restaurant was very nicely decorated as well and there is a small outdoor seating area in the parking lot. Only criticism is that it was a little expensive. However, the portion was so huge that my wife and I easily shared it making the meal quit reasonable since it is easily shared. We even had some leftover though I feel I ate more than I should because it was so good.
The restaurant is located out of Toronto but easily accessible even from the airport. It has the most exquisite wine selection from Hungary, including the world famous Tokai Aszu which form Louis XIV in the 15 hundreds to Queen Elizabeth of England imported to their wine cellars. The food is outstanding and offers a wide range of authentic Hungarian food from the usual gulyas and paprikash to a more sophisticated variety. No matter what your budget is, you won't get disappointed. Highly recommended for visitors and local people alike!
We really enjoyed our meal the other day. Very nice restaurant with great food. We had liver dumpling soup which was very good followed by schnitzel and cabbage rolls.Probably the best cabbage rolls I've ever had.The crepes were amazing! I would go here just for the crepes. Will be happy to return and try some of the other dishes.
Treated to a late business lunch by a client of Hungarian descent. For an appetizer the four of us shared two of the Steak tartare. I had the Gulyás soup and then for the main course the Chicken paprikash. Food was excellent. Others in the party had the Stuffed cabbage rolls and Wiener schnitzel and were similarly impressed. Service was good; I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We visited for the first time this restaurant.IT IS in a small plaza in Woodbridge.the restaurant looks nice.It was 6 of us.The soup the garlic and liver dumpling soup was outstanding. For the main dish I ordered veall paprikash with nockies. It was not autentic i left on the plate most of them. The meat was tough and not very appetizing it did not resembled in any way to the veal paprika I know.My husband ordered chicken paprikas it was again terrible not appetizing and it was not even similar to the real thing. He ask for some sauer cream which should have been provided in the first place thats the way it should be served. They charge $2.00 for a small portion of it.My friend ordered "szuzerme beef "with roast potatoes. the meat was very tough the roated potato was ok.When the waitress came to collect the dishes she ask if i liked it she saw that I left most of it untouched.I said no.she did not offer any substitute or anything. She said we can always learn. The prices are high so we expect good quality food. The vine selection is good..We will not return .High price for less the mediocre food. They advertise hungarian kitchen and the most tipical of the hungarian dishes did not resembled at all to the real dish.
