I had the lentil and bark soup plus the alfredo (with mushrooms and butternut quash), and my man had the French thorn soup and fish tacos.
This place is great! the personal is super friendly, tables and toilets are clean, decoration is filled with interesting collector pieces and old cool stuff. children get a shady search with their menu, which makes fun. I recommend the Guaajillo sauce that comes with the mushroom quesadilla, it's just amazing!
Buck was great! actually spontaneously stopped, starved and needed something to despair! gastgeber was sweet and sat immediately on an outside table in the fantastic CA weather! we had a umbrella that gave us big decks and shadows. Drinks and eat came quickly. crunchy granola yogurt parfait was from this world good. açaí, fresh fruit varieties, Chia seeds, granola, it was fantastic! big buck breakfast was filled, kartoffels were extra crispy and delicious! “Silver dollar pancakes” were quite decent in size, definitiw not as small as I expected! the blackworst instead of speck, and it was very good, almost as it was homemade. clean plate club. in any case it enjoyed a lot. also I really liked her dr. evil mini me figurine in front window. bonus points.
Some Northern California restaurants are famous for their amazing cuisine. Think Single Thread, Manresa, or The French Laundry. And farm-to-table spots are ubiquitous in the Bay Area. Buck’s is different. It’s an institution. A living history museum. A local watering hole. A gathering spot for Silicon Valley elite to relax and be themselves. You can’t award Michelin stars to that or judge a place like this by its rating on Yelp. You just have to go here and experience in for yourself. Steve Jobs did. And plenty of others before him. And after. Why not you as well?
I was wanting to come here for a long time and I finally made it. The decor was very fun and it’s really a great spot for celebrating silicon valley technology history. Lots of outdoor seating and the food was excellent. I appreciate that although the menu is full of many delicious sounding bacon options they can do quite a lot of dishes vegetarian and vegan
