It was my first visit here but definitely won't be my last! They have 2 long tables reserved for us. (Which was awesome since it isn't a big place). From the second we walked in (we were the first to arrive from our party) the waitress was super attentive and fun! They got everyone's drinks as they arrived. Then took all our orders. I could not believe how they kept up on our refills and how quickly the meals came out of the kitchen!! I got the 4 piece fried chicken dinner and it was Ahhhh-mazing. Some of the creamiest and best coleslaw I've ever had!!! My husband got the Philly cheesesteak and said it was the best one he ever had anywhere. Other people at our table got the chicken livers, stuffed cabbage, chicken broccoli pocket, spaghetti, Reuben and more! I didn't hear one complaint about the food and many had to-go boxes because of the size of the portions! Again, I just want to give a shoutout to the staff for being so attentive and quick! The food was awesome. The service was awesome! Will definitely be back!!
Stopped for lunch and got the Hungarian Schnitzel sandwich (not knowing exactly what that is, but I like to try new things). It's a deep-fried pork. It was pretty tasty and came with breaded fries and a pickel. Got the chicken sandwich for my friend. He said it was also very good. This seems to be a nice place if you have a craving for stuffed cabbage, pierogi, paprikash or other German/Hungarian Staples. They also have pizza and burgers. It wasn't busy when I went and service was great. It the kind of place you'd take mom or grandma to.
Loved this place. Surprisingly empty on a Saturday at Noon, we went and were kind of worried there was no one else in the restaurant. Food was great all the way down to the chicken soup. Definitely recommend the pierogis, pork schnitzel was insane I want to try the sandwich version! Chicken soup was delicious the calzone was very good as well. I will definitely come back next time I'm in Wooster!
My mom and I came here for a quick lunch in Wooster. The Henry Station's menu is an interesting mix of Hungarian specialties...and Italian food. I'm not sure I've ever seen this combination before! The menu has a lot of variety, with offerings including salads, burgers, subs, pizzas, calzones, fried chicken, sandwiches, and desserts. I opted to go for the Hungarian side of things, as did my mother. She ordered the pierogis and I ordered the chicken paprikash. Her pierogies were delicious! They were pan-fried (the way my grandma would make them) and served with sour cream and a good portion of sauteed onions. The chicken in my paprikash was perfectly tender and I loved that it was served with spaetzle. Unfortunately, the spaetzle was really overcooked, which left it pretty soggy and bland. The paprikash sauce was okay. The dish was served with potatoes, but given that it also comes with a huge portion of spaetzle, I think I would have preferred some vegetables. The complimentary bread before the meal was a nice touch, and our service was good. I'm curious about their Italian food, their other Hungarian options (sausages, schnitzels, goulash), and the Hungarian hot pepper appetizer.
This was a comfort food slice of heaven after taking a chance on this unique find while driving by Wooster after a football game. Ended up with satisfied parents, grandparents and a tween. The grandma noted how clean the bathroom was, and pizza and hamburgers kept the tween happy. The rest of us all tried something different of the Hungarian/Bavarian traditional dishes and when leaving wondered when we might have an excuse to come back. The spaetzel was delicate, and sauerkraut balls were a treat.
