Red Bucket Sugar Shack - Worthington

I am so often surprised to see that so many sugar shacks will serve up liquid gold over mediocre food. I drive past maybe 5 other sugar shacks to get to this one. Takes me a little over an hour to get there. The food is worth it. You get what you pay for. I'm surprised many people seem to not be able to tell the difference. The waiting room is filled with evaporating sap, like being in a maple steam bath. The views are spectacular. The tables are wooden. The walk down the old dirt road is bucolic. This is the only sugar shack I even bother to go to anymore, and for good reason.

Self serve. Nobody was there. Good stuff, bad service

My favorite maple breakfast. Perhaps grown a bit too much. Bacon was laughable, but the ambiance and location perfect not to mention the tradition being kept up after the original owner sadly passing away. Love that ot is open much longer than most places.
