Can 't fault this place on my visit. Buns were toasted nicely, chicken was cooked perfect. Delicious balance of savory and tangy. Went perfectly with my beer.
Could have been a better vibe if there wasn't all the construction noise in the area, definitely killed the mood as we couldn't hear each other. We shared the fish burger that was beer battered, the beef burger which had way too much sauce/mustard on it and the Kumara fries which were really good (and could have used more sauce). Wasn't sure if the tar tar sauce with the fish burger was homemade but was real delicious!
Really enjoyed our meal here. We were here after seein the Google recommends for lunch. The place was lovely. We ordered beef cheese and fish Burger. My husband said that beef was superb quality! I only eat fish and veggies; Out of all the fish burgers I had, this has to be one of the best fish burger I've had. Fish was really fresh, firm and tasted wonderful with a hint of lemon salt. Portions were normal sized Over all I enjoyed it very much. PS. The toilets are super spacious, clean and tidy! Extra star for the neat environment!!!
The Burger tastes excellent! I ordered the double beef and cheese, and the double beef was thick, juicy, meaty and very flavourful. It's as good as the burgers you can get in the USA. The cheese is too quality and the flavours work out well. The fries with aioli are also on point. The poutine is just how it is as my standards are high, having been to Montreal, but I can't blame them because you can't import actual pasteurised Quebecois cheese curds into NZ The service was at decent speed despite the big order we had for a table of 8, and the atmosphere was on point. Good music, nice vibe and just a chill place to hang out. It would be better if they upgraded their couch seats from being hard wood/metal to being leather, as that is more comfortable to sit on.
Wow, what a cute little hidden location! Even though it was 6pm on a Wednesday night, I was surprised with how quiet Burger Burger in Newmarket was but this only made for a very pleasant and calm experience. We both ordered the cajun grilled chicken burgers $18.50 each) as well as a rose which was delicious, but a very shallow pour). As Wellingtonians who don’t have many burger options nearby, we both thought the chicken burgers were heavenly! The brioche bun was so soft and fluffy, and the grilled chicken was seasoned and grilled to absolute perfection. The menu didn’t state that the burgers were toasted with butter I hate butter) but that's fine. The burger also contained a yummy tomato relish, cheese, rocket aioli, rocket and a spicy jalapeno salsa. All the flavours worked PERFECTLY together, and the burger itself wasn't stodgy or greasy. They were actually quite light, like I didn’t feel awful about myself after consumption. When I was about halfway through eating my burger, I did find a short black hair in my burger I am blonde), which I quickly told the staff about. As someone who worked at an alternative burger joint for two years, I understand that accidents like this happen, so I was unbothered. The staff removed the rose from our bill as a result.
