Yak and Yeti Gurkha Restaurant - York

We tried all of the appetizers in order to get a good sense of the dishes and flavors.

My friends and I went to this restaurant to celebrate my partner's birthday. The food and service were excellent, just like always.

The restaurant was busy, but we were seated on time for our reservation. Unfortunately, the noise level was so high that we had to practically shout to hear each other. This might have been okay if the food had been good. We ordered yak yeti beef and chicken with rice. The rice was undercooked and extremely dry, and the meat dishes were also dry and tough. On top of that, we were overcharged by £30 without any apology. We will not be going back.

I prefer quiet restaurants where I can have a conversation without shouting, so the noise level at this restaurant was a bit too much for me. However, I did enjoy the friendly and helpful atmosphere, as well as the delicious food.

Not the best meal I've had went about 8 months earlier and raved about it went back recently with family as a special occasion and won't be visiting again the food was very dry and unappetizing
