Main Street Greek - York

Ordered takeout Saturday. The place was packed when I picked up order, with large line up waiting to get in. Was disappointed in the meals. Subbed fries for the rice, the fries were soggy and stuck together. The calamari was ok but not great. The...chicken souvlaki dinner was just ok as well. The salads that came with the meals were very good, fresh and crispy.

Went with a few friends and great experience. Tried many items on the menu and all were fantastic. Had Trio of Dips, Grilled Octopus and Mezze Plate as appetizers. For entrees we had Chicken and Pork Souvlaki Dinners and Pikilia. Portions are large and had...enough to take home for another dinner. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive. Will definitely be back.

We are regular customers at this lovely Greek restaurant. We have been coming here for many years. The food never disappoints - it is always fresh, made with good ingredients, and incredibly tasty. This is our go-to spot for healthy meals for my family. The owners are always welcoming, personable, and attentive. The service is top-notch. If you're looking for some delicious Greek cuisine, this is the place to be!

We decided to support a local restaurant during the Covid-19 pandemic by ordering takeout at a specific time. However, when we arrived for pickup, our order was not ready. By the time we got the food home, the calamari was chewy, soggy, and greasy after only 6 minutes. The fries were limp, oily, and soggy. Even the Greek fries were equally unappetizing, appearing soft and limp. We were unsure if the delay was due to the customer taking too long to pick up their order or if our food had been sitting under a heat lamp or in a warm container. Overall, we were very disappointed with our experience.

The food here is pretty good. Ive had the chicken gyro plate both times I was here. Comes with free garlic bread. Good place to go if you dont want to drive to Greek town. They dont offer lamb souvlaki unfortunately. I have to say...though both times the service was horrible. I thought maybe it was just the first time so we went back another time. Service was the same. In fact it was even worse the second time. The waitresss completely ignored us. She seemed very attentive to others but not us. Throughout our dining experience she just didn't come to our table. The second time we went they weren't even busy so she wasnt overwhelmed. Had to beg her just to place our order. People who arrived after us already got to place their order and they received their food long before us. The waitress was also rude and very abrupt when we asked her a simple question. I would rate the food 4 stars and the service 1 star.
