We did order in advance, so they knew when we were coming and what we wished to eat (choice of sandwiches). Our sandwiches and coffee were excellent. The carrot cake that we split was fine but a bit dry.
Out for a little drive through York Harbour & Lark Harbour, Nl & stopped at this little quaint cafe......awesome view & provided a gift shop & lovely choice of baked goods & nice selection of local choices. Had a crab sandwich while there & took home seafood chowder & some baked goods for supper........absolutely delicious.
We stopped by to have quick bite and were pleasantly surprised by the freshness and quality of the food, you can't beat fresh breads and treats. The restaurant is quaint and the views are spectacular.
We stopped in for lunch while enjoying the local hiking trails. Marlaine's proved to be an excellent spot for lunch. We had been enjoying seafood chowder of our tour throughout Newfoundland and the chowder here was quite simply outstanding! And don't forget the perfect location right on the dockside. You have to come here when you are in the area.
Marlaine's was closed for the season but opened for our tour group for lunch. Excellent sandwiches, soups and chowder. Very friendly, efficient staff and reasonable prices.
