Melville Hotel - YORKETOWN

Went to the Melville over Easter and it was disappointing no easy way in as front doors all locked had to go around side, and looking for the bottle shop was there but not open. The staff not as friendly as the use to be and it was not as welcoming as we were going to have dinner there but the hotel looks tired.

This pub went downhill for a while but, on the advice of a local friend, we gave it another try last week. It was excellent. A plentiful and varied salad bar, a good hot vegetable bar, an impressive range of specials to choose from with prices starting from $10, plus an a la carte menu which contains all the usual pub dining room fare. Hot bread rolls are brought to the table.The dining room is spacious and clean, well-lit and has a wall of windows looking out onto some greenery.Staff were friendly and helpful.

Melville hotel is a reasonable Hotel, has good meals and friendly staff. Can get very busy during holiday's as is quite popular

Paid $15 for a HUGE schnitzel on the specials board and it was amazing! cooked to perfection! and the sauce was great too! 10/10

This pub has the best meals around. The prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. Worth dropping for lunch or dinner.
