Contribuisci feedbackWe saw a sign displaying Flynn's restaurant was open again..My husband and I both became weak at the knees and so happy that we began dancing a little bit. We immediately called to make a reservation. Perfect experience as always. Fourth visit still majorly impressed and inspired not to settle for anything less. The set up and service is great, try anything the chef has touched - bound to be gold, supreme being fifth element style, creating divine food...we are obsessed. See you soon. *Stalker alert*
Flynn's was recommended as one of 2 in Yungaburra near where we were staying. The meal was a bit mixed everything is cooked fresh and was tasty but lacks refinement, it is expensive for what you get particularly the salad at $9. The wine list is limited but there are plenty of options and a good selection of other drinks. The waitress, who had only been with them for 3 weeks, was extremely efficient she ran service, seated people, organised drinks, delivered food and took payments.I don't think anyone had to wait for anything what a find.
Being only a small restaurant, it pays to book in advance, rather than be disappointed. We opted for the 2 course menu, and felt the price asked was realistic when one is wanting to enjoy food that has been prepared and cooked with passion. This was evident with the flavours of the Mushrooms on Toast, and the Confit Duck and Risotto combining well, and I loved the flavour of the Beef Cheek, which was accompanied with roast beetroot and carrot. My choice of dessert being a Citrus cheesecake was a delight. Congratulations to the Chef, and also his very efficient waitress who ensured all our requirements were met with a minimum of fuss, and with very little delay. They certainly compliment one another in what for us was a most enjoyable evening dining out in Yungaburra with top quality food.
Walked in without booking last Monday night. They have a set menu of 3 courses for $52 or 3 courses for $62. Limited choice of about 5 options for each course. Some vegetables served with meal, about half carrot and quarter beetroot each, roasted. My partner had seafood chowder and goulash , both very nice, I had the pork and apple pie, both also very nice. The waitress tried to talk us into 2 sides of salad and bread at $9 each, but we thought this was too expensive and just got the bread. Not a great selection of wine by the glass, but a good selection by the bottle. Service of entree and mains were very quick, but waited a long time for dessert
