You basically create your own and pretty quickly they bring out the most yummy concoctions ever! We hoped to return for lunch to try what looked like delicious salads, but it was closed for a few days over Christmas. Hopefully next time!
Finding a restaurant in Mexico that does salads well is usually next to impossible. This spot is an exception. The menu also has pita sandwiches, baguettes, that sort of thing. My wife and I ate there twice. The first time we ordered a pita sandwich, which was so-so due to the Mexican obsession with toasting, mashing flat and adding plenty of melted cheese to anything even vaguely resembling a sandwich. The pita would have been far better merely filled, warmed and less or no cheese. However, the second visit was when we ordered salads. Jackpot! You can get them with beef, chicken and other toppings atop the excellent pile of fresh veggies. It's a full meal. One of the best salads I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant. And I live in Mexico. The street, Calle Pedro Ascencio, runs parallel, one block in, to the main street of downtown Zihua, the one abutting the beach. And the restaurant is just half a block from the tourist mercado. It's open every day from 5 to 10 p.m.Again, great salads.
