Metzgerei Z'graggen - Zürich

Fresh food, great staff and delicious food. If you want something simple and quick, this is a good place to eat.

Metzgerei Z'Graggen is a quick spot to drop by for cheap deal. Breads, sandwiches, hot dishes, cold salads, and sides at the front counter. At the rear of the business is the retail store and Metzgerei counter. There are a couple of stand tables outside...the entrance and about five tall stools inside. The staff is efficient, the food is good and very reasonably priced for grab-an-go or having a quick meal inside, if there is a seating available. I had their calf sausage, bread and mustard, which was good. During the weekdays, they offer take-away specials, priced per A off credit for take away food from the counter from to help reduce food waste. Newspapers are available for guest during their visit.

A kind of deli with a few informal tables with mostly very friendly service. Finally a reasonably-priced option. We had the grilled bratwurst with the rosti (roasted potatoes) and purple cabbage for Swiss francs/plate, which was by far the cheapest option we had in...our few days in Switzerland. The food was delicious, too. With drinks we spent just under francs. Easy to find if you follow the walk laid out by the visitors' information office on their map. It's near the very beginning of the walk. The option we chose was just one of many as you can take a look at what they have prepared and choose what you like.

This place offers delicious classics. To balance our food budget, we had a few dinners here very tasty and by Zurich standards, very inexpensive.

While walking around Zurich on Stussihofstatt, and observing the many restaurant menus, we couldn't make up our mind. So we decided to order take-out from the Metzgerei Z'graggen. We ordered pork schnitzel, chicken schnitzel, venison in gravy, cheese pasta, and rice. All of the food...was great! We would eat here again.
