Electra House - Adelaide

We visited on a Friday night, and came straight from the Clare Valley wine tasting that was happening in Leigh Street. My friend had unfortunately been standing under a large tree, and was defecated on by a bird above. As we arrived at the restaurant, we were laughing about this and our waitress overheard us - she instantly took the jacket and washed it... along with our 4 glasses we had walked in with from the event. That set the tone for the night, the service was amazing without them actually 'hovering' over us (which annoys me to no end). The food was also lovely, we shared plates between us which worked really well. They had an impressive wine list however we chose to bring our own from the cellar and were happy to pay the BYO charge. It was my partners birthday, they gave him a complimentary glass of champagne and wished him a happy birthday. All round it was a great experience with fantastic service, the staff obviously have great pride in what they do. I would happily dine here again.

Food was good but even though we were the only table occupied for most of the evening we rarely saw the waiting staff so we were always short of drink refills, which was annoying.

Meet some friends for dinner on a Friday night, food was all good lots to choose from, the place has a modern feel but still retains plenty of character, has a great outdoors bar as well !!!!!

Can't rate this place highly enough. Had 2 functions within weeks of each other and the level of service from booking until right through the functions is phenomenal. Stephen the Functions manager was very helpful and his staff attentive to all guests needs. Food amazing, great value..... don't hesitate to use for a function.

Went out drinks after work on Friday 17/6/17 after 5.30PMBought some food which was nice – no complaints thereWent to the bar for a drink and waited until everybody else at the bar was served – approx. 10 peopleWhen the girl behind the bar finished serving everybody, she turned and went to the till display and just stood there with the other barman for 5 minsI tried to get both the bar staff attention and twice the gentleman behind the bar acknowledged my request but I was still not served after 15 mins waitingWhen they had both finished the very important discussion over the till display (sic) the female bar person deliberately ignored me and served somebody that waited for only 1 minute.Much to my astonishment, they knew I was not happy, she eventually got around to serving me and rolled her eyes with pure utter contempt.Such a nice place to visit, pity about the extremely rude and condescending staff behind the bar in the outside area. SUGGEST YOU DON’T BOTHER GOING HERE.
