To try to save money, I had the brilliant idea of sharing dishes with my spouse. Problem is, the food is so good that we kept the order! Had the crabs and cornfritter (the sauce has a small kick on it), but the sauce made a world of difference. I regretted that I immediately shared the Charcuterie board as I wanted everything. I wanted more of everyone. Next, the bacon were wrapped scallops. As already mentioned, I'm not a big pescatarian, but too good to give up. You could both cut with a butter knife. Then it was time for the Kaprese. All dishes were perfectly seasoned and perfectly balanced with flavors. Last but certainly not least the blonde was for dessert. I'll dream about it later.
Good food and good service. There were interesting items on the menu that you don?t see every day. Located in the heart of Biltmore Village, you might have to ride around a bit to find a parking spot. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table. But it?s worth it!
Quick Summary This was a upscale casual version of their Chestnut restaurant. Food was fantastic and similar to Chestnut. Ambiance was definitely much more casual than Chestnut. Parking can similarly be difficult as it's street parking Food- 5 stars Corn and crab chowder- this was decent. It paled in comparison to the entrees Pecan crusted trout- this was very good. Excellent flavor throughout and very balanced. I couldn't stop eating it Pork chop- my friends couldn't stop raving about how good the pork chop it was. I assume they get the same supplier as Chestnut, and I thought their pork chop was phenomenal Drinks- 5 stars The Vanderbilt Martini was fantastic. I was a bit worried in the beginning when the servers were making the drinkers as well, but I was surprised and satisfied Service- 5 stars Servers and staff were friendly and attentative. They were also the bussers and the bartenders, which was pretty impressive Bottom Line Great meal at the Corner Kitchen. Highly recommend the Vanderbilt Martini with either the trout or pork chop
This place is freaking awesome. I visited this restaurant on my birthday and they treated me like a Queen. The ambience is phenomenal the food is AMAZING. I will drive 3 hrs to eat here any day. I give them 10 stars ? ?
My wife and I dined here to celebrate our third anniversary. The staff treated us like royalty. Our waitress, Michelle, was fantastic—she checked in on us regularly without being intrusive. When she discovered that we had recently married, she shared in our excitement and offered us a special dessert to honor our new status. We started with calamari as an appetizer; my wife enjoyed the scallops, while I had the pecan-crusted trout. All three dishes were delicious. Our experience was outstanding, and if we find ourselves in Asheville again, we will definitely consider dining here once more.
