Café Rossio - Aveiro

We were two people. We asked for pescada frita and they brought bacalhau . So, we told that it wasn 't correct because we had ordered pescada frita . After few minutes, they brought us bacalhau again, it was exactly the same dish as before, telling that this time it was pescada frita ! Annoyed waitress with us.

Are these steaks the best of Aveiro? I don't think so, but its fame overshadows all the other simple and honest dishes of this restaurant.

We had a great lunch here. We were not planning to spend too much time eating but we ended up staying around 2h there. It was packed. After around 10mn waiting we were sitted at a small table. But the waiter was not satisfied with it: he insisted to move us to a bigger table when it became available. He was fast and efficient. A real professional. And then came the food. Half portions that looked like full and it was so tasty we couldn't stop. Traditional simple portuguese food for a very affordable price. When the bill came we thought he had forgotten something because the price was low compared to the quality and quantity we got. A great taste of portugal and the local hospitality.

Espectacular el trato y espectacular la comida. Volveremos sin lugar a dudas. Qué rico todo

Super saboroso! O melhor prego que alguma vez comi. Empregado de mesa super simpático. No balcão a simpatia foi uma constante todo o tempo que lá estivemos. Experiência a repetir de cada viagem a Aveiro.
