Hahn - Basel

A very welcoming place with an enthusiastic owner very proud of his Swiss food. Our German is embarassingly minimal but we had all the help we needed with the menu and made tasty choices. The restaurant was lively, a good buzzing atmosphere. An excellent find.

Daily menu served quickly. Food is good and cheap. Room quite empty giving impression of being in the middle of a close friends' discussion. Unfortunaltely, I don't speak German but minimal Engligh is understood by waiter.

We had a really nice meal in here. It's a little bit odd because it feels like you're in someone's front room, but the food is delicious and a good price.
