209 - Bemidji

While this local bar has a great vibe and friendly staff, I can only give it 3 stars. The food didn’t live up to my expectations based on the description. I even asked if I had misread it on my friend's phone. There were no paper menus, so we had to scan a QR code instead. They attempted to bring me my haystack but unfortunately didn’t deliver what I was anticipating. If I could rate the front-of-house staff separately, they would definitely get 5 stars. I shared my receipt because I was surprised by the price of my Tito's. My colleague covered the meal. I would consider returning if I move to the area.

Had to wait 10 min before seating. The place was lively but not too crowded. Masks were voluntary. The lighting was dim as we proceeded through the entrance. The staff were friendly and ensured that our water was topped off. The truffle mushroom burger and truffle fries is what I ordered. It lacked flavor as I bit into it. The truffle fries stayed crispy as I finished my meal.

Great local restaurant. over two meals my son and I had two great experiences. we have tried two of the mac and cheese dishes and a burger. I had a local bemidji being red x ale that I totally enjoyed. the service was very friendly and attentive.

209 is a great jewel in bemidji. the personal is wonderful to host everyone on our table. I had the hot honey chicken sandwich. it was sweeter with honey then hot. I would call jalapeno on sandwich for a kick.
