This is based on my experience today, when I tried ordering online, where it said one couldn't do it but that the place was open until 9 pm. Ok, fine, my husband I drove there only to find several people staring at the sheet on their door. It said that they were closed for vacation until August, which is more than a month!!! Seriously? The corporate page should say that this location closed temporarily until mid August. And Yelp should be corrected to say that as well, for good measure. Again, I like Blaze's product, but they do not have their act together as a company. It's a minimum requirement for a business to stay open during the hours it says it would be. And this location failed at that multiple times before according to other reviews. But, this time they've really done it. It's not like they closed a little early, they closed for more than a month without publishing that change anywhere but on a paper sheet stuck on their door. I sent in a complaint through Blaze's website, but I am not expecting anything from them. If it were any other normal business, I'd expect some kind of coupon as a peace offering for our troubles. But, based on other reviews, I am not holding my breath. They haven't even refunded people for pizza they paid for and never got!!!
I ordered a build your own pizza and when my roommate brought it back to me it had no toppings on it and was burnt. I tried to request a refund online but never received a response and I couldn’t go in person because I had COVID. I would not recommend that anyone goes here.
Literally everywhere online it says they open at 10:30AM. I get there at 10:40AM and their door is open. I walk in and then a few minutes later one of the workers say actually we're not open right now, we open at 11am I told them online it says 10:30. They just say yeah we're trying to get that fixed, sorry! Nothing else and they just make me wait outside for 20 minutes. So rude. So unprofessional. Edit: Spoke with the district manager Nelson Aung. All he could say was sorry, the websites wrong Blaze Pizza management is a joke lol
It's sometimes tough to remember that everyone makes mistakes, so when a person or a business makes an effort to make things right, I give them credit. On the flip side, when a person or business knows they messed up and just pretends like nothing happened, it's super disappointing. In this case, I'm going to call out Blaze Pizza for absolutely horrible practices and zero efforts to make things right. Four weeks ago, my friend and I place an order through the app. We customize our pizza, select the time we want to pick it up, and pay. When I get to the front door, I see a sign that says Closed 5:00 pm. This seems pretty strange first off because it's only 4:45 pm, and second because the app very clearly indicated that the restaurant was open and accepting orders. Not sure what's going on, I find the Berkeley location phone number and leave a voicemail. I send a Facebook message to Blaze Pizza. What else is there to do? My friend and I wasted time, energy, gas, and money on our order only to still be hungry afterwards. There aren't many other ways to leave a customer as disappointed as Blaze left me. When I get home, I fill out a form on the Blaze Pizza website. I ask for a call to discuss what happened. At this point, I'm not happy, but I'm allowing for the remote possibility that there was some kind of emergency that kept the shop from opening. There are two things I'm looking for: 1 an explanation of what happened how it happened and 2 how Blaze Pizza intends to make this right. A couple days later, someone from Guest Services emails me to say she has forwarded my message to the franchise operator for further review and additional coaching with their restaurant team. Okay, great obviously coaching the team is a good thing but this is neither the phone call I requested nor any attempt to keep me as a customer. Hell, this is not even an offer to cancel the transaction to save my friend and me a call to the credit card company! Almost a month has gone by, and I have not heard a peep from the owner of the franchise. I won't be supporting Blaze Pizza anymore, and I'd encourage anyone reading this review to make the same choice.
Careful! this business is closed until 1st august, but still accepts online orders in their app. there is also no easy way to repay the order. terrible.
