Urban Bread - Beyoglu

This place is normal small bakery. The have few gluten free options. BUT all GF items are made in same non GF environment. They have advised that there will be high risk of cross contamination. Bottom line this place is NON Celiac friend,

Our visit was quite disappointing. We got there shortly after they opened and all she had were two chocolate muffins and another smaller item I couldn’t identify. She tried to serve us with used gloves she picked up from the toaster tray though (they otherwise sell regular baked goods including bread). The muffin wasn’t worth the visit either.

They have several gluten free breads and pastries, mostly on the savory side but some sweet as well. A little on the dry side but overall very tasty, and excellent by Istanbul’s standards . They also have coffee if you want to sit in the cafe to enjoy, or you can buy a loaf of bread (or anything else) to go. Not a dedicated facility but didn’t get me sick and I’m pretty sensitive.

Bread, muffin, brownie, banana bread....Commonly good knowledge of gluten. Sure.
