While many places tout a farm-to-table concept, here, the table is literally on the farm. Don't miss this experience! For just $80, we were treated to multiple courses, accompanied by freshly baked bread made from on-site milled flour. The kitchen has a charming rustic vibe, resembling an old tool shed. Each dish surpassed the last in quality. My only criticism would be the overpriced wine list; we toasted with an okay sparkling rosé that wasn't worth the $72 price tag. However, their selection of microbrews was excellent and fairly priced. The service was impeccable and attentive. We’ll definitely add this spot to our list of places to return to when visiting family.
One of my most memorable experiences! I opted for the wine pairing with each course, and although I usually don’t let others choose for me, their wine director did a fantastic job. An expert came to our table to explain every dish, and even the owner took the time to discuss the farm-to-table concept behind the menu. This place is an incredible journey for the senses. Make sure to visit with a wallet full of hundreds – it’s definitely worth it!
I made a reservation for my birthday dinner and informed them that we were celebrating a special occasion. I started with the sautéed peppers and aioli, which were drenched in oil. I was quite hungry, so I pushed through them, but I regret that choice. My wife ordered the summer squash soup, which she described as tasting just like zucchini soup that lacked seasoning and salt. Not the best way to kick things off. For my main course, I had the Pan-Seared Salmon Akmolinka, which came with spaghetti squash, leeks, asparagus, and beurre blanc. Unfortunately, the spaghetti squash was nearly mushy, the leeks were overcooked to the point of being gray, and both were greasy. On the bright side, the salmon itself was cooked perfectly. However, I was perplexed by the cold tomatoes served on the side—what was the point of that? Aside from the salmon, dinner was quite disappointing. We took dessert home, which was decent but not exceptional. To top it off, there was no acknowledgment of my birthday, which showed a lack of attention to detail. Overall, my birthday dinner was a disaster. We enjoyed a bottle of wine and the salmon, which totaled $250. I could easily shop at Whole Foods and prepare a similar meal for just $50. Given our previous good experiences there, I was really surprised by the poor quality this time, and it was quite expensive. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant based on this visit. I’m giving it 2 stars, which feels generous.
One of the best food and alcohol experiences I've had. The green chili was outstanding. The cocktails were exquisite, I love being surprised, and I love that I ordered the bartenders choice, was asked my preferences and got an incredibly crafted drink. Then I asked for an entirely different flavor profile and got a delicious surprise. The vegetables were truly fresh andimpeccably prepared. The meats were perfectly seasoned and flavorful. Among the finest dining I've had in Colorado.
