Dietary restrictions: Diabetic and good choices on the carbs

This place has been a bit hit or miss lately. Our server was wonderful. Very polite, friendly, and understanding as we were there with 4 kids, 3 of which are 5 or under. The host stand left a bit to be desired. We checked the wait time multiple times on our way over, as it was a last second decision to visit for dinner on Easter Sunday, it stated that the wait time was 10 minutes. When we arrived, the host informed us that it would be over an hour before we could be seated. When we tried to mention that online the wait time was drastically different and that they should work to update the info, we were argued with. Afterwards they would quote tables for very random times. Some would be immediately for small parties (under 5), but then some were told 15-30 minutes while others were told over an hour because they had open tables but they didn't want to burden the server and make people sit there.

Waitress was horrible. Took 20 min just to get service. Then it wasn't even our waitress. Took 30min to get food. Manager was horrible to talk to. Took another 15min to get

The store is freezing, I have been in 3 times in 3 months and every time the building is so cold I and my company have to keep our winter coats on. And don't expect a fire in the fireplace, it's not been lit when I have been in the site. The food was not as good as other Cracker Barrels I have been to recently. And I saw our table server twice the entire meal. No standards are being held here.

Very slow service. Got first drink around the 15-20 minute mark of sitting down. We ordered our lunch then (two adult lunch meals and two kids meals). After another 40 minutes went by and my drink was empty, I asked for a refill. The waitress asked if I'd like it to go... I reminded her we hadn't received any food yet, to which she seemed shocked. Waited another 15-20 minutes to receive our meals. No manager ever stopped by to say anything. Will probably think twice before visiting the Bourbonais location again.
