Chicken Alfredo made my DIL sick almost immediately. Steak had no flavor except tasting like chargrill. Oysters were old, mushy, milky tasting. Not to mention we waited an hour for appetizers and another hour and half for our food. Will never go back!
Great food, ambiance, live music, and fantastic staff!
The blackened Grouper was not blackened only seasoned and it was not fully cooked. It was still wet inside. Sautéed crab claws had NO flavor. Stuffed flounder was only about 7 inches long, and had crab meat tossed on top. Not a stuffed flounder, nor was it blackened. Fried flounder was brought to the table way under cooked. Sent back and was again undercooked. So disappointing and over priced. We had high hopes but will not be back. The fried shrimp was the best thing we had at the table and they weren't much to write home about.
Coming from Miami, where the flavors are bold and vibrant, my expectations might be a bit skewed, but unfortunately, the food here didn't hit the mark for me. We ordered the NY steak medium well and I got it rare. What was supposed to be a Chef's Special of Braised Short Ribs, both of which were disappointingly bland and notably lacking in sauce. Seriously, where the hell is the BBQ sauce on a chef special of braised short ribs? And no mashed potatoes – if you count a scoop of what seemed like microwaved pudding as mashed potatoes, then I guess it was served, but it was just horrible. The ambiance of the place is certainly unique, with a predominantly white decor and a crowd that seemed to be mostly older, over 60, especially noticeable on a Saturday night at 8pm. As a young Black and Latino couple in our 30s or 40s, the atmosphere felt quite awkward for us. It might not be the best choice if you're looking for a lively, flavorful dining experience. Oh! And stay away from the Jalapeno conch critters ???.
This place wasn 't crowded when our party of four visited. I and another member of my party ordered the blackened stuffed flounder. (Paid extra for the stuffed part) The founder was disgusting. Dry, flavorless, slimy in places...the stuffing was also unimpressive and a very tiny blob. If there had been salt and pepper at our table I would 've added that (and I 'm not one to add salt and pepper). Had our server bothered to check back in any kind of timely fashion I would 've ordered something different but she was nowhere to be found for a good 20 minutes after our food arrived. The other person 's stuffed flounder came out cold. I got a side of broccoli and it tasted just like water. The baked beans I ordered looked like they 'd been sitting out for hours and even the server acted like they were questionable when she gave them to me. I 'm happy to pay good money for good food but it pisses me off to have to pay good money for terrible food and terrible service. I don 't know how this place stays open. I will never set foot in this place again. If I could give a lower rating than one star I would.
