Small clean place. Friendly staff. Quick service. Fresh crispy spring rolls. Fresh shrimp salad rolls. Fabulous Pho. Shrimp stir fry was very good.

Huge menu. Food tastes good but the quality is a bit suspect as I had to make a quick trip to the restroom immediately after I was done eating. Friendly and fast service.

We've been stopping for lunch at Kim Lan for several years now when we're in that area of Calgary making a Costco run! The reason we come back is the consistent quality of the food and service. We stopped by there for lunch again yesterday in fact!As other reviewers have stated, Kim Lan is tucked back into the corner of one of the Beacon Hill strip malls near the Montana's restaurant. Takes a bit of looking if you've never been before. Parking is usually ample in the immediate area, even with the Christmas rush yesterday, we parked virtually out front!The restaurant is small by any standard, probably a dozen tables and booths at most. The two ladies who wait the tables (have been doing so for years!) are pleasant, efficient and have great memories (they know what we order before we do lol)! Service is fast without a doubt, in and out in 30-45 minutes. The restaurant itself is clean as are the bathrooms. The menu is quite extensive with a good variety of Vietnamese entree and appetizer favorites. Prices are the going rate for Vietnamese restaurants in Calgary. We've really enjoyed their noodle bowls, but invariably it seems we opt for the Pho! Looking around at other patrons, Pho is usually the most common dish people order at Kim Lan. We especially like the spicy beef or chicken sate Pho or the vegetable Pho (ask for low sodium!), about $10/bowl or less for a large size. Most often we'll start with a couple of shrimp salad rolls with spicy peanut dipping sauce, worth it!We'll be back :)!

Hidden away in the strip mall of Beacon Hill, this little gem is highly recommended for pho fans. The location may be odd to some, but for workers and residents nearby it is perfect. The Pho is definitely one of the best I've had in Calgary and the servers are super friendly. Their milkshakes are also a delight to have and though the spring rolls may be a little skinny, they taste delicious.
