The Raintree - Chennai

We had dinner at the amazing Raintree restaurant where we felt kind and cordially welcomed by Maitre Robin Martin. He could recommend and explain the courses that perfectly met our expectations and wishes. The food was very delicious! The Maitre thrilled our entire stay in a discreet and well maintained way. We also had the chance to meet the cook Gokulakannan who invited us to join the kitchen for a short cooking demonstration. We had a lot of fun with him and his team, cooking a traditional Indian bread together and asking about the secrets of curry powder! You were very nice with us and we had an incredible evening. This place is worth a visit!

Had a wonderful evening in the raintree. we ate a series of delicious South Indians, while we listen to traditional woodwind and percussional music. the restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. robin, our waiter, explained everything on the menu and gave us an amazing amount of information about the South Indian cuisine. the chef goku even invited us to the kitchen to crush some spicy and see how they make these delicate, fluffy parathas! we had such an unforgettable and educational experience here and I could not recommend it anymore.

Great place looks better after renovation. the aesthetic remains and is now even better. they feel very spacious. eating is excellent as usual. the waiter dressed as well and addresses our requests and serves it as we asked. one of the oldest and best South Indian culinary experiences in chennai.
