Amici - Coleford

I had some reservations about this place at first. I visited with an Italian friend, and we were a bit concerned that the food might not be prepared properly. However, we were pleasantly surprised! The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted amazing. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. We sat on the terrace, which was lovely and dog-friendly. Overall, it's a beautiful spot, and I will definitely return when I'm in the area.

During our holiday at the opposite location, we discovered Amici. We ordered takeout—pasta, risotto, and tiramisu—and everything was beautiful and incredibly tasty. We paired our meal with a lovely bottle of Barolo. Eager to try more dishes, we returned for carbonara and pizza. The pasta was just as delicious as before, but the pizza was disappointing. Overall, it was a really nice experience, aside from the pizza; otherwise, it would have been a five-star review. We plan to return next time we're in the area, and we would have called to mention the pizza, but we were in a spot without phone signal and didn't want to make the drive back.

It had a nice taste and lots of topping, but could be cooked with a little more (it was not raw tho)

Came here to enjoy a cosy date night with my partner, the pizzas were incredible! We actually ended up coming back the next night with my partner's parents and our daughter for a family meal and all the dishes we had that night were delicious also. Definitely saved as one of my new favourite restaurants and will definitely be returning the lemon cheesecake is also to die for!
