The food was just okay. I had high hopes but was disappointed.

Party of 6 arrived and were seated. Waitress was efficient but loud and treated us like children. My broiled cod and scallops came out completely white no sign of broiled. I was told that is how it looks and that is what I ordered. Others asked for crisp French fries she said you mean well done) ok. They came out barely cooked. She said it was because of new oil! Seriously. We live in Vero and have traveled there many times over the last 15 years. Never again. Not cheap there and don’t mind paying for good food but to be insulted by this waitress as if we were stupid. Unacceptable. Her name is Brenda.

I wish there was more local fish and seafood options. Most of the dishes weee cod and haddock.

We arrived at New England Eatery, and there was plenty of parking. We were greeted by a friendly, smiling host. We chose to eat inside the restaurant because it was hot outside, but they do have outside covered dining with a bar. As soon as we walked in, all you could smell was fresh, sweet seafood aroma. Our mouths were watering before we even got to sit down and look at the menu. As soon as we sat down, a server was at our table to take our drink order. Me and my guest each ordered a New England lobster roll. And we split a whole belly, fried clam dinner with onion rings and coleslaw. The service was excellent. The seafood was fresh and delicious. The fried clams and onion rings were perfectly fried to a golden, crispy brown. We will return here for more delicious lunches

Good choice of food, very friendly service and fun atmosphere. We sat outside in the covered pavilion. I would go back again.
