The Grill 2 - Dover Plains

The food is good, but the device is not good. I tried to place a take-out order and the phone was busy, busy, busy and when I finally got through, they just put the phone down. I live 5 minutes away, so I went by and found two employees standing around. It was Valentine's Day and they were busy, but they didn't see too busy to pick up the phone.

I ordered the surf and turf, which included a filet mignon, but I was shocked to find it was cut in half over the filet! On top of that, it was overcooked. I've never seen a filet mignon this thin or prepared so poorly. The lobster? Let’s not even get into that. As for the potatoes, they tasted like they had been mixed with potato buds or some sort of fake potato. It seems like they do that to stretch out the servings. Overall, very disappointing.

I don't understand all the fuss surrounding this place. The food is just mediocre at best. It's not bad, but it's really quite ordinary.
