Marche - Eugene

Been eating at Marche for over 25 years and usually it is excellent, however, recently we have had 3 bad or subpar experiences there. First was a $125 bottle of champagne we ordered. Served with no ice bucket to keep it cold and the waitress kept pouring it like beer constantly filling our glasses to the brim so the champagne would get warm in the glass. Second, today the eggs Benedict was served ICE COLD. And the replacement was hardly any warmer, we were really hungry by that time so just settled for cold food. Third to top it off the server never asked if we wanted coffee or even offered us a dessert menu after the meal. I realize staffing is a real challenge these days but from what I'm seeing Marche is slipping and for the price you pay to dine there this just shouldn't be happening. I have hope that things will improve.

I was disappointed! The food was mediocre at best! We had the Tuna special and it was so bland! This is a French restaurant why wasn't there a sauce??? The zucchini fritter under the fish was just ok but so greasy so not worth the calories. Our field green salad was simply greens on a plate and the dressing needed both salt and pepper! I think the chef can do better! Finally it was my bday and since we are traveling my husband wanted a bit of a celebration, he made a note on the OpenTable request, and he called the Resturant in the addition. No acknowledgment! Again, they can do better!

Great service and atmosphere. It was wonderful French cuisine!

I’m never disappointed at Marché.. great food.. great service, nice atmospher.. ordered the salmon and smoked pork chops and a hamburger at our table.. a dozen oysters.. so good! Every bite gone!

Best food, cocktails and desserts. Marche is my go to restaurant for something special.
