Páteo - Évora

Been here for dinner and the experience wasn’t the best. Lovely place secluded from the crowds, but the service is bad (slow, unfriendly and with mistakes), the food was very disappointing as the starter “Linguiça Assada”, the bread, and even the stake on my dish were all very hard, making everything unpleasant to eat. On top of that this restaurant allows dogs in. Trying to enjoy your family dinner with barking near your tiny table is unacceptable, specially when paying 80€ for 3 person dinner with no deserts included. Quite expensive.

We visited Pateo for dinner. Its a secluded restaurant, away from the crowd if you are looking for a quite place. Restaurant was full during the time we were there, service was a bit slow and they made several mistakes to our order. Waiter came to apologize several times for mistakes we still enjoyed our experience. We ordered platter for 2 cold cuts and cheese everything tasted good, but there is too much strong cheese we couldn't finish it. We also had soup and pork cheeks delicious.

The slow cooked pork cheeks were great, entrees were a little bit of a let down but all round a good experience.

Conheço bem Évora mas não conhecia este restaurante que descobri em 2023 com um casal de amigos que vieram passar uns dias em Portugal. Descobrimo-lo enquanto percorríamos as ruelas e foi uma agradável surpresa. O restaurante estava prestes a fechar porque já era tarde e fomos recebidos soberbamente por um dos garçons que falava um pouco de francês. Nós realmente nos divertimos e o cenário é realmente incomum e agradável. Um desvio necessário sempre que se passa por Évora. Boas-vindas, pratos, ambiente, tudo perfeito. Eu recomendo.
