This was a great place for breakfast. I really like the restaurants like this where you order at the front counter and then sit down to eat. I ordered the chicken honey biscuit with a side of butter grits. The fried chicken was crispy and good. The biscuit was tasty. I'm not a fan of grits but these were pretty tasty. Although my motto is everything is better with hot sauce. So, if there would have been a bottle of hot sauce on the table, for sure I would have put some on and expect the grits may have been great. The atmosphere was really nice, open, and airy.

One of my favorite restaurants in the Jackson area for a blue plate special. I love their breakfast (available all day) and their blue plate chicken and dumplings. You really can’t go wrong here. I highly recommend getting the biscuit (available all day too) instead of the roll or corn bread. You can also order some of their famous cakes as a dessert or to-go. They have very friendly service.

The service was awful due to the staff being bought out, making me wait 30 minutes for my burger. I had to stop the waitress at three different spots and each time she told me it would be out in a minute. What surprised me was that there were hardly any customers. I could have understood if there were only a few people in the restaurant.

The breakfast was enjoyable, with juicy fried chicken and fine fried green tomatoes. However, the mac and cheese was disappointing. The Sweet Tea was the standout item on the menu.
