We waited an hour and 45 minutes for our food, which was far too much for what we received. The fish and chips were overly greasy, and the salmon was no better. The service left much to be desired; our server seemed more focused on a large party in another room. We waited half an hour just for our salad. After we were seated, it took 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge our presence. Later, when I didn’t ask for a wine refill, I noticed my server chatting with someone at the bar for 10 minutes. Eventually, she poured my refill and tried to blame the delay on the restaurant's circumstances, which is a classic sign of poor service—always shifting the blame. The real issue, however, was poor management; when I mentioned my concerns to the manager on my way out, she seemed surprised that the service was slow. If she had taken a moment to look around, she would have noticed the disorganization all over the dining area. This shows significant management and training issues. We had visited this restaurant before it closed a year ago, and we are very disappointed with our experience this time.

When I expressed my concerns to the manager upon leaving, she appeared surprised to hear about the slow service. It's clear that all she needed to do was walk around the restaurant to see how disorganized everything was. This indicates a significant lack of management and training. We had previously visited before the restaurant closed a year ago, and it’s disheartening to say we were very disappointed this time.

The menu was disappointing. Our waitress apologized for the changes that took place two months ago. I tried the McKenzieburger for $12.00, which came with a flavored cheese and an egg on top. It was quite odd and left an unpleasant aftertaste. It was interesting to note that no one at our table ordered anything other than appetizers after looking at the menu, which should have been a warning sign.
