Harry's Chippy - Halton

We typically dine at Harry's Bar on Queens Avenue in Widnes for our Friday evening meals, as opposed to the one in Hale Bank. It saves us the trouble of cooking.

I have frequented this restaurant for lunch on many occasions, but have consistently been let down by the soggy battered fish in the past. However, my girlfriend ordered two chicken kebabs tonight and they were simply terrible. It was basically a mound of bland chicken, with a huge quantity of it but of poor quality. It was nothing like a traditional kebab - there was no way to wrap it in bread and absolutely no sign of any salad. While there was a large portion of mediocre chicken, that is not the essence of a kebab. On a side note, my dog seemed quite pleased with the leftovers.
