Contribuisci feedbackDuring our first visit to Hobart, we were eager to dine at a restaurant that emphasized local ingredients. The dishes at Peacock and Jones were outstanding, and I cannot recommend it enough. A definite must-visit when in Hobart!
The restaurant has a cozy and romantic atmosphere, with attentive and knowledgeable staff. Chef Jeff and his team excel at highlighting Tasmania's best produce. Let Emma and her staff demonstrate why Peacock Jones is our preferred dining spot in Tasmania.
Fantastic food and a wonderful dining experience, the staff are very friendly and attentive, and the food is exceptional!
Everything was spot on staff, ambience, warmth. We had the butchers cut which was a 400gram rib eye, the market fish, a side of Brussels finished with the bread and butter pudding and coffee. Every mouthful delicious! Will definitely be back!
Loved that you could be as casual or formal as you liked (I had been advised on a previous visit that if I took one of the stools I couldn't order from the main menu thankfully that wasn't the case this time). I perched and read one of the history books in between exquisite courses of blue eye and mille fuille. The service I got was warm and engaging although I didn't observe that from all the crew at other tables. Moderately high prices, but delicious food, interesting menu and a great venue.
