The restaurant has closed since my visit last year, but it was excellent. I live close by and am frequently asked to review it every time I return home.

I thought the restaurant was overrated and expensive.

We visited mid week for our wedding anniversary. A professional welcome and great first impression. Lovely menu with a choice of mid week or a la carte. We chose mid week and had two super meals for good value. The service was not fussy but was attentive and fun. Definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be visiting again. Perfect for an occasion but prices are reasonable enough for an everyday visit.

The restaurant, now under new ownership by Simon and James, is introducing new midweek menus starting the weekend of June 2nd. I have heard positive reviews and will make a reservation to try it out. I will be sure to keep you all updated on my experience! - J and Sue Wells
