As you enter through the gates, you will be delighted by the peaceful and picturesque setting of this restaurant. In the center, there is a small stage where performances take place. Join the locals as they relax with coffee and cakes at scattered tables. The plums from the fruit trees in the garden were particularly delicious in late August and reasonably priced.
I enjoyed taking a leisurely walk through the garden. While some areas had only bushes and trees, the part near the cafe was filled with beautiful flowers to admire. The stage and chairs seemed out of place and did not quite fit the overall rustic atmosphere the restaurant was going for. The buildings section was charming, with old-style furniture displayed in small preserved rooms. The cafe also had a small shop with cute items for sale. They offered sweets, coffee, and tea, with prices on the higher side. The raspberry cookie I tried was a bit dry, but my husband loved the carrot cake. The kids had simple ice cream. Overall, it's a lovely spot to enjoy a coffee or tea (they have great tea) on a sunny summer day.
We were recommended to go there for lunch but unfortunately all they had was cakes and sweet buns. The garden was so pretty and peaceful that we stayed anyway and had sweets to calm our hungry bellies. It must be treat to enjoy a show there in the summer.
If you want to see a genuine Swedish house and garden from the beginning of the 1900 you have to go to this Garden. There are different types of event there. From art to summer theatre.
