Ballyhoo's - Key Largo

This is one of the few places with several clearly marked vegan options on the menu. I really enjoyed the vegan grilled cheese, and I will definitely return.

Had a great lunch here before snorkeling. Separate vegan menu, lots of great options. Had the vegan grilled cheese with black bean soup and a side of sautéed spinach.

My family stopped at Ballyhoo's on our way home after we saw they had a separate Vegan/Vegetarian menu. We sat outside with our dog. The server was very friendly but the service was a little slow. Took a while for the food to make it to the table. We weren't in hurry though. Otherwise we were all happy with the portions. The black bean burger was huge. And the fries, as one of the many side choices were great, not your typical frozen spuds. The black bean tacos were also good. And the grilled cheese with black beam soup was also filling. The cheese for the grilled cheese was a different take on vegan cheese. Not your normal smooth consistency, but we cleaned our plates. We took a piece of their coconut cake home with us and enjoyed it together.
