Interested in a quick, late and not too expensive lunch close to the Botanical Garden, we opted for the Real Principe among all options available on a Sunday afternoon. We took a few standard meals including burgers or grilled chicken with fries and salad, as well as olives as a starter. The quality of the food was average, and the meals were good and well prepared. Moreover, service was friendly and efficient, and the bill was a cheap one. To summarise, this place offers good value: food is aligned with the price and somehow does its job.

We wanted to have a quick breakfast outdoors and this seemed the ideal place just a few outdoor tables, a fantastic display of pastries and cakes in the window, and not too busy. Good coffee, really good pastries, welcoming and friendly despite their basic English and very traditional. There are still plenty of traditional Portuguese places like this in central Lisbon and this is worth trying.

Fui aqui com base nos comentários e fiquei surpreso (talvez eu não estivesse prestando atenção! Ao descobrir que é apenas para viagem! Então pedi minha comida e peguei um táxi de volta ao hotel. Foi bom, o feijão preto foi a única coisa que eu realmente não gostei, com muito alho para o meu gosto.
