Cheapest Fado in town. We stood at the bar where you only pay for your drinks (2.50€ per drink) if you sit down your bill may be more like 15-20€ per person for avg food. All the locals were here chatting and joined in the Fado. Great experience.

We visited to hear some traditional Fado music on a 4 day visit to Lisbon following a two week stay in Portugal. We were squeezed into a tiny space, on stools, which wasn 't a problem, until we tried to order. Firstly we were given, without us ordering, the €7 'couvert '. Next we were told we couldn 't order 1 main and one starter, but rather we had to order 2 mains to cover the cost of the 'free ' Fado music. We said no, but the owner left us saying we an order for two fish! We waited 45 mins for the meal we didn 't order. It was edible, and fresh, but ordinary. The owner was rude to all customers, insisting 'silence ' at all times, (which we would have respected anyway, due to the artists). When we asked for the bill we were told cash only, and were taken to an ATM, along with another family. This ATM was broken, we were taken to another some 100m away, but the transaction fee was ridiculous. We offered to pay what we had which was £8 short of the total, but actually was far more than what we had ordered! This place is a tourist trap, overpriced, hides the fact they dont accept cards, and the owner is rude. The worst customer service ever, and purely commercially minded. This is not free Fado. This is extortion! I just feel sorry for the musicians, who were actually very good. Avoid this trap at all costs.

A great small intimate Fado Bar. Just loved it, got to talk with the musicians. A real special place. Cheers

Authentic fado place with welcoming host, nice atmosphere and delicious snacks. Recommended!
