Bamboo Village - Missouri Valley

I ordered takeout and spent $66, leaving a $5 tip. However, I later received an updated transaction showing an additional $4 charge for the tip. Make sure to check your receipts—this seems pretty sketchy.

The fried rice wasn't actually fried; it seemed more steamed. Perhaps they forgot to fry it while they were busy, but isn’t fried rice supposed to be fried?

The frying oil definitely needs to be replaced. The food was disappointing; the fried rice was undercooked and nearly raw, lacking any flavor apart from a yellow tint. There were no eggs, carrots, peas, soy sauce, or green onions—nothing at all to make it resemble fried rice. The honey chicken was overcooked, resulting in rubbery, dry chicken. I didn’t think it was possible to dry out dark meat to that extent, only to douse it in honey. I would NOT recommend this restaurant or its food to anyone—definitely stay away!

Seems like they’re closed more than they are open. Don’t understand how they stay in business!
