Certainly the best Indian place in Moore and one of the best in OKC.<br/ <br/ They have an extensive buffet with a bunch of choices. Their service is very good especially considering it is a buffet. They really keep the beverage glasses filled.<br/ <br/ Among the items I have found to be most appealing to me are the: Naan, Chili Chicken, Chicken Byrianni, Tandoori Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Mushroom Soup. There are lots of other things, but these usually end up on my first round.<br/ <br/ The Mushroom Soup is really good. It has a bit of spice which makes it interesting. Normally I don't care that much for mushroom soups.<br/ <br/ The Chicken Tikka Masala has a nice light but thick consistency and is quite flavorful.<br/ <br/ The Chicken Byrianni is quite spicy but not too spicy.<br/ <br/ The Tandoori Chicken is good but a bit of a puzzlement. As I understand it, the marinaded Chicken pieces are threaded on a skewer and placed within a tandoor to cook. Oddly, after eating many many pieces I have yet to ever find a skewer hole. Interesting.<br/ <br/ The Naan is great. It is plain naan and is just chewy, crispy, and charred enough to be wonderful flavored and textured.<br/ <br/
Something Different in Moore. If you're looking to try something different, this is a good place! It's consistent and has a good variety on the buffet!
Hands down the best Indian food I've ever eaten!. Their buffet is always hot and fresh with a great mix of old favorites and new selections. The sauces and curries there are extremely flavorful with just the right amount of sweetness and heat. LOVE their paneer tikka, chicken tikka masala, veggie samosas, and veggie korma. The last time we went there they had a new dish--paneer with eggplant and mushrooms in a korma sauce. It was to die for! The sauces/curries might seem a little watery at first but trust me, they're super good!
As you enter, you’re welcomed by a friendly, fluffy Siberian White Tiger (don’t worry, he’s harmless!), followed by the delightful host and servers who will escort you to your table. They’ll take your drink order before you explore the impressive buffet. The food selection is fantastic, offering everything from curries and rice dishes to roasted chicken and lamb, along with soups, salads, baked goods, and desserts—including their homemade mango frozen yogurt-style ice cream. Unlike many buffets that often compromise on flavor, the dishes here were all top-notch. I particularly recommend the curries, roasted chicken, and desserts—they were absolutely delightful! I also want to give a shoutout to the servers, who were exceptionally friendly, personable, and efficient. They filled water glasses at lightning speed and cleared tables quickly to prepare for new guests. In summary, our experience at Himalayas was wonderful, and I look forward to returning the next time I'm in Moore!
