Shì Fáng Shí Táng - Nishiki

On June 15, 2020, I tried the traditional black hormone set meal for 850 yen and the Sundubu tofu stew set for 980 yen at Ichifusa. The black hormone was stewed to perfection and suited my taste. The Sundubu stew was not very spicy. It had a bit of heat, but I think it was easy to eat for those who like spicy food. However, for those who prefer more heat, it may not be enough. It was to my liking.

This is a cozy dining hall serving Korean cuisine. While the black pork belly is famous here, this time I tried the Yan-nyeom Chicken set meal. It was mildly spicy and came in a generous portion, leaving me completely satisfied. The soup was also delicious, I will definitely be coming back for more!

The atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and the staff were kind. Originally, I ordered the chicken set meal but decided to take the chicken to go, so I asked if I could change it to the cheese kalbi set meal. The staff smiled and said, "No problem." Thank you very much. They also had solid COVID-19 preventative measures in place. The cheese kalbi was spicy, but delicious and had a flavor that was addictive. One thing that caught my attention was the small plate on the top left of the rice dish. I wondered what it was for and if it was meant for portion control, but I didn't ask.
